Penny can assess, diagnose and prescribe for a wide range of ailments and conditions. Appointments with Penny are available most days please request an appointment with her when speaking to a receptionist if you feel it is appropriate.
Our team of nurses give advice and assist with a wide range of problems. They are involved in running a number of clinics and are able to carry out procedures such as cervical smears and travel immunisations.
We currently have three healthcare assistants working at the Practice who play a vital role in supporting our patients’ needs. Our Healthcare assistants carry out certain procedures such as blood pressure checks, phlebotomy, ECGs and NHS health checks. They are also involved in programmes for the management of long-term condition like diabetes, coronary heart disease and asthma.
Paul is responsible for the day to day running of the Practice and should be the first point of contact if you wish to escalate a matter relating to the services we provide at the Practice.
He is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (1989) and acquired the AMSPAR Level 5 Diploma in Primary Care Management in 2013.
Paul is an elected member of the Governing Body of Southport and Formby Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG).
Gill is responsible for the financial management of the Practice and how it develops in the future.

Our team of data administrators manage new registrations, changes of address, summarising of medical records, run medical reports and maintain our clinical software.
Reception is normally your first point of contact with the practice. We have a large team of full and part-time reception staff, all of whom are trained to provide you with a friendly and efficient service. They will assist you to make an appointment, take requests for and give out repeat prescriptions and give you information about all our other services. Please speak to them if you have a problem and they will do their best to help you.
We have secretaries who support the entire team, managing medical referrals, reports and the payment of accounts.
The community midwife team conduct antenatal clinic each week. Appointments are made after referral by your doctor.
